Jumping Journal: May 17, 2007 extra

I did forget to put in the main journal entry that the weather has continued to be rather crazy, nothing normal to say the least.  The spring warm up came and in a big way.  Last week we had highs in the 80s for four straight days.  Last Thursday or Friday it almost hit 90, just one or two degrees short of the big 90.  Normal temps this time of the year are in the upper 60s.

The weekend came and so did the cooler weather.  For the second weekend in a row it turned out to be a real nice weekend but cool, highs only in the upper 50s.  So far this week the highs have mostly been in the upper 50s and today they were in the low 50s.  What else is new.  The weather continues to do all kinds of crazy things.

Yesterday we did see our first real rainfall for the entire month of May.  It has been very sunny for this time of the year and has led me to asking if we are in a drought or not.  The forecast, I just saw it on TV, is for more of the same with highs in the low to mid 50s through the weekend and then maybe a warm up starting Monday, next week.  TIme shall tell.
