Video link of jumping on April 14th

I left my video camera in the jump inn yesterday after jumping.  I forgot to put it in my pack with everything else.  I decided to go back up to Lebanon and pick it up so I could capture and post some video.  Well when I arrived back at the hill I was surprised just how much the snow had melted since the morning.  REALLY SURPRISED.  The temps were only in the low to mid 40s but the ski trail that leads up to the jump inn had numerous bald spots in it already.  Since I had taken a shot looking up the inrun and out the outrun, from the knoll, before we started jumping, I decided to walk back up and take another round of video.  The inrun hadn't seen much visible damage, from the knoll, but the outrun had seen quite a bit.  Up close the top of the inrun was starting to show the wooden cleats quite a bit, and the house was almost bare but still had some snow left. The takeoff area was also amazingly getting bare as well.

The beginning of the video shows the comparision between what the outrun looked like at 9:30am and 3:45pm.  Quite a bit of snow had been lost.  Admittedly, the outrun does see the direct sunlight, when the sun is out so it melts quite quickly.  The landing hill is totally in the shade and it can take forever before it melts off completely.

My first jump that I mentioned yesterday, the bad one, starts off the jumping action.  Also included are a couple of jumps that each of the three of us guys took yesterday.  For me it wasn't my best form by a long shot, but not bad given the circumstances.

The second video I was thinking about doing doesn't look like it will happen.  I kinda wish I had some other daytime video that would have been taken this winter on the 50 but all the video I have is nighttime video and since the light at the very top of the inrun is out you can't quite tell on video when the jumper has started down the inrun to make a true speed comparision between jump on fast conditions and jumping yesterday.

Oh yes, when I woke up this morning around 7:30 it was already starting to snow and has been snowing ever since.  It does look like it is going to be another nice snow storm.  Mid April, what else can you expect from the Greenhouse Effect, LOL!!!
