What's that yellow ball in the sky???
What a strange past seven days around western New Hampshire.  A stalled out storm front has brought some of the most bizarre weather I have ever witness, and until this morning the pattern just wouldn't break.  I have never seen clouds move in reverse like they have all week long this week.  Instead of moving west to east they have been moving east to west.  The temperatures have been below normal.  It has felt nice though for working outside or playing outside.  At least I haven't been roasting to death in 90 degree heat.
I got to the hill and it seemed like no one was there.  Turns out only Dan was there and he had ridden his bike since his car wasn't running.
We changed clothes and headed up the hill.  As we were getting ready to take our first jump a couple of kids showed up and there parents ended up flagging us.
My first jump was a little better than I expected for the first jump of the day.  Granted Dan had went down and he did put soap on his skis and I think I was just getting the residual benefit from it.  I ended up with a 17 meter jump, give or take slightly.
The second jump caught me a little off guard when the ski tips came up at me in an instant.  I think I was seeing lift since the wind was blowing quite nicely.  Since I was on the 25 and not on the 50 it just didn't have the capability to give me anything more than bringing the ski tips up at me real fast.
The third, fourth, and fifth jump were pretty much idenitical to each other. The landings were quite the same and neither were the outruns.  The last jump didn't feel quite as smooth as the rest and I knew it was time to call it quits for the day.  Five solid jumps on such a nice late spring day isn't anything to be ashamed about.
